SELF-GUIDED PRACTICE

How to practice

  1. Sit or stand with both feet making clear contact with the floor.
  2. Keep the eyes open and let the room stay visible in your peripheral vision.
  3. Press the toes down gently, then release, noticing that the floor remains steady.
  4. Feel the heels, balls of the feet, outer edges, inner arches, and toes one area at a time.
  5. Shift weight slightly forward, back, left, and right, then return to center.
  6. Notice the floor pressing back into the feet and supporting the legs and spine.
  7. Name one thing you can see while continuing to feel your feet.
  8. Repeat for two to five minutes, especially when you need a fast external anchor.

Stay comfortable. You can stop at any time or return to your natural breath.
