SELF-GUIDED PRACTICE

How to practice

  1. Sit quietly and notice what feels gripped, resisted, or over-managed right now.
  2. Name the form of holding: a thought loop, body tension, demand, expectation, resentment, or fear.
  3. Find where that holding appears in the body, such as the jaw, chest, belly, hands, or throat.
  4. Breathe naturally and soften around the area, allowing space without forcing it to release.
  5. On each exhale, silently offer a phrase such as soften, allow, or this can be here for now.
  6. Notice the difference between solving the situation and relaxing the extra contraction around it.
  7. If release does not happen, practice allowing the holding to be known without adding pressure.
  8. Finish by choosing whether any practical action is needed after the session.

Stay comfortable. You can stop at any time or return to your natural breath.
